It All Started With a Hoop

The Hoop Shop began in Michigan in 2016 with something simple: a love for hooping.

What started as a hobby quickly became something more. We fell in love not only with the movement, creativity, and freedom that comes with hooping, but with the community surrounding it.

So we started making hoops of our own.

At first, the goal was simple: create a hoop that we would genuinely want to use ourselves. Something beautiful, durable, and made with care.

But as our hoops began finding their way into the hands of other hoopers, we realized we were building something much bigger than a product.

We were becoming part of people's journeys.

More Than a Circle

There's something special about a hoop.

To someone else, it might just look like a circle. But to a hooper, it can become a creative outlet, a dance partner, a form of movement, a way to express yourself, or simply a place to escape for a little while.

That's what has inspired The Hoop Shop from the beginning.

We don't just want to create hoops that light up.

We want to create hoops that make people light up.

Hoops that inspire someone to pick one up for the first time. Hoops that encourage someone to learn one more trick. Hoops that come along for late-night flows, festivals, performances, backyard sessions, and all the little moments in between.

Every hoop has a journey to be had.

And getting to be a small part of those journeys is what keeps us creating.

More than ten years after we began, The Hoop Shop is still rooted in the same idea that started it all.

Create something we love, make it with care, and share it with people who love hooping as much as we do.

From our LED hoops to the products and accessories we create around them, we're always looking for ways to make the hoop experience better—better lights, better designs, better durability, and new ways for hoopers to express themselves.

But no matter how much our products evolve, the heart behind them won't.

We're still a small business from Michigan.

We're still hoop lovers.

And we're still incredibly grateful every time someone chooses one of our hoops to become part of their story.
